Brunswick City are excited to announce our full NPL coaching lineup for the 2017 season ahead of November’s trial process. This year, the club moved into a totally new level of operation and professionalism and aims to continue building on that front with the following improvements:
- Professional Football Development Plan
(Large document outlining the club’s development structure, pathway and philosophy in huge detail)
- New Pitches
(Our home Dunstan Reserve will have some of the best surfaces in Victorian football)
- Top Class Facilities
(Additional building, video rooms, ice baths, gym and refurbishments to our home facility)
- Brand New Equipment
(Goals, balls, additional training gear and other essentials have been completely restocked)
Our coaching family is well-credentialed and modern in approach ensuring our players are developed as close to world’s best practice as possible. We have made it a mission to hire coaches who are qualified teachers, exercise scientists or managers with the AFC/FFA B Licence a minimum requirement for our performance phase programs 16 years and above and all other coaches requiring a minimum AFC/FFA C Licence with the focus specifically on development and growth. Our remodeled development system is heavily based on the world’s top youth programs in conjunction with the FFA National Curriculum, backed by the latest research and will be delivered by coaches trained in those methods.
“Our new coaching staff represents a fundamental shift in Brunswick City’s level of professionalism and development pathway,” said Technical Director Riccardo Marchioli. “We have been extremely meticulous in our search for not only the most qualified coaches but those who display the desired personality traits and characteristics necessary for developing people and players, as well as a willingness to build on some of the eye-catching football displayed by a number of our teams in 2016. Most of our staff are qualified in teaching, management or exercise science on top of their FFA coaching qualifications and that will ensure that our methods are as modern and effective as possible. It is another step in the direction of Brunswick City becoming one of the state’s leading NPL clubs following our strong performances in 2016.”
Brunswick City NPL trials (U12 and above) will begin in early November to avoid the rat-race and jostling between clubs and players in the NPL. We are looking for players who want to be part of one of the state’s most professional and expansive programs delivered by some of the best youth coaches and facilities in Victorian football.
